The Art
of Changing Published 2000 288 pages This book describes itself as "A New Approach to the Alexander Technique - moving toward a more balanced expression of the whole self" and it focuses on exploration of its relationship with the 'human energy body'. It offers a decent introduction to the Technique as well. Glen Park begins by explaining Alexander's basic principles and then applies these principles to emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions, considering the human body as an energy system surrounded by an aura and organised by different chakras or energy centres. She talks about releasing negative emotions, using affirmations and balancing your chakras. But for readers who are not too sure about any of these topics - they are all explained quite simply in this book. From this perspective, The Art of Changing gives some fascinating insights into how we function and how we can allow positive change to occur in our lives. This work has sold over 25,000 copies and is now presented in a newly revised edition with additional photographs and diagrams, as well as updated drawings by Delia Hardy. About
